On Wednesday, the spokesperson for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Dr. Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that the examination body has successfully identified the individual responsible for creating the fake JAMB results used by Miss Mmesoma Ejike. It was revealed that the perpetrator of the parody app is a student enrolled in one of the Nigerian institutions.
Dr. Benjamin confirmed that the student in question will face legal consequences for his action, including the prosecution and revocation of his admission status. He said, “We have identified the individual behind the creation of this app. He is a student enrolled in one of our institutions. Currently, we are taking the necessary steps to apprehend him, and he will face the loss of his admission at the respective institution.”
The announcement made by the examination board a few days ago, regarding miss Mmesoma’s alleged inflation of her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result from 249 to 362, has sparked a lot of controversy. JAMB has consistently upheld it’s integrity and maintained that the candidates result did not originate from its official portal.
