On August 17, 2023, the University of Calabar took a bold step by suspending a prominent dean within the institution’s faculty, Cyril Ndifon. The situation magnified to the such an extent that the esteemed president of the Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) at UNICAL, Benedict Otu, led a protest on the campus, with a group of females.
