Shortly after the demise of the Ondo State Governor, governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in Germany, the deputy governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as the new governor of the Sunshine State.
The swearing in, which took place at the Cocoa Conference Hall in the governor’s office in Akure, the state capital, was conducted at 4pm, on Wednesday, December 28, the same day Akeredolu passed on.
As the deputy governor, was being sworn in, clapping and cheering was heard in the background, as the audience were rejoicing over the swearing in of the deputy governor.
It’s however surprising as this was the same day the governor of the State passed on. Do they seem relieved that he has passed on, or was it more like they were expecting this?
