The Governor of Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara is currently meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Vanguard reported that Governor Siminalayi arrived at the presidential villa around 5:35 p.m. where he went directly into the president’s office.
While Fubara is attending the meeting alone, without the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Neysom Wike, this is the first time the president will be meeting the governor since the peace meeting between Fubara and Wike.
Though the details of his visit were not made known at the moment of filing this report, it would not be unreasonable to assume that it connected to the political crisis between Fubara and Wike.
