Italian club, AS Roma announced this afternoon the dismissal of Jose ‘Special One’ Mourinho as the head coach of the club.
Although the club did not give definite reasons to the press for their parting ways, Roma’s recent poor form may have been a deciding factor as they have recorded just 5 wins in their last 12 games.
Reckon the Portuguese joined Roma in May, 2021 and led the club to their first trophy in 14 years by winning the UEFA Conference League in 2022. He also reached the final of the UEFA Europa League with the club last year where they lost to Sevilla on penalties.
AS Roma owners stated;
“We wish Mourinho all the best for his future and his next chapter”.
As replacement, Roma legend, Daniele De Rossi has been appointed as reported by football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
