Osmane Dembele bagged a hat-trick for France in the opening 32 minutes against Norway to set a World Cup record on Friday.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward found the back of the net in the seventh minute of the game and doubled the lead with a curled effort after Kylian Mbappe shrugged off his marker to set him up.
Dembele then clinched a hat-trick with another impressive curled effort from the edge of the box to become the first player from France to score three goals within 32 minutes at the age of 32 years.
The winger was heavily criticized for failing to score in his side’s opening match against Senegal, where the French team secured three points.
France is currently leading Group I with six points and are currently guaranteed a spot in the knockout stage of the tournament.
