Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, provided an update of late on their ongoing efforts to find a new striker for the team.
During his debut season at the Premier League club, Ten Hag perceived a deficiency in their attacking options, particularly with the termination of Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract and the temporary loan move for Wout Weghorst, which laid emphasis on the need for a quality striker.
Despite already making notable signings this summer, including midfielder Mason Mount and goalkeeper Andre Onana, Manchester United remains focused on getting a striker.
One of their primary targets is believed to be Rasmus Hojlund from Atlanta.
Ten Hag expressed hope regarding their progress in the search of a striker, stating, “We make progress, yeah. But you know how it works – when we have him, we will tell you directly.”
He spoke on the team’s commitment to doing everything it takes to finalize the deal, and left to him, he would like for it to happen as soon as possible.
The sooner the new striker joins the team, the better, as it will allow them to help him learn the team’s style of play sufficiently.
With Ten Hag’s promise of activeness and dedication, Manchester United fans can look forward to a prospective addition that could improve their attacking force for the impending season.
