Nigeria’s women national team have qualified for the Women African Cup of Nations semifinals after demolishing Rwanda 5-0 in one of the quarter-final games in Morocco on Friday.

The Super Falcons have been impressive in the tournament, securing a 3-0 victory over Tunisia in the opening game. The team then went ahead to nick a 1-0 win over Botswana before being forced to a goalless draw by Algeria.

The performances were enough for the Super Falcons to seal a place in the quarter-finals of the competition, topping Group B with seven points.

Nigeria breezed past Zambia in an impressive manner in one of the quarter-final games, with Osinachi Ohale scoring the first goal as early as the second minute. Moments after the half-time mark, Esther Okoronkwo doubled the lead.

The Super Falcons continued to push for more goals in the game and Ohale nicked her brace before the half-time break.
Oluwatosin Demerin capitalized on her fine positioning to increase Nigeria’s goals, scoring in the 68th minute. Folashade Florence Ijamilusi then sealed the commanding display.
