High Court Judge Issues Stern Warning Against Charms in Courtroom

The Justice of the High Court in Ikeja, Lagos, Justice Hakeem Oshodi has sternly warned the public against leaving charms in his courtroom.

Justice Oshodi raised this warning during the trial of five men accused of murdering Ifeanyi Etunmuse on Monday, November 30, according to The Guardian.

The judge asserted, “No one should leave charms in my courtroom. This behavior should not be repeated. A talisman was discovered after the last adjourned date in the murder case.”

Describing the charm as ‘property,’ he firmly stated, “Do not leave your property here again. It holds no power here anymore,” as reported by The Nation.

The five suspects, namely Atunrase Omolabi, Shittu Olawale, Olaide Opeifa, Olanrewaju Adebiyi alias Maja, and Jamiu Omosanya alias Orobo, faced charges of attempted murder and the murder of Etunmuse at Western Funeral Home in Ijede, Ikorodu.
