Live: Injury plagued united behind at Selhurst park in EPL match on Monday night.

Manchester United had been without Lisandro Martinez, Rapheal Varane, Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof for a while lost Harry Maguaire to injury leading to the Crystal Palace game and just over on monday lost Bruno Fernandes to injury who for the first time in his career misses a game through injury and not through suspension.

United started with a makeshift center back pairing of Jonny Evans and Casemiro while Diego Dalot started at right back with Aaron Wan Bissaka at left back.
It was Palace who started the game brightly and went ahead in the 12th minute after a quick thrown found Micheal Olise in space and he evaded the challenge of Casemiro quite easily before running through on goal and slotted his left footed shot pass Andre Onana in goal with United defenders back pedaling instead of closing down their man.

United best chance came via a free kick after Alejandro Garnacho was brought down but the free kick was deflected behind for a corner kick. From the resulting corner Manchester United thought they had the equalizing goal but it was ruled out for a push by Hojlund on the Crystal Palace goal keeper and Casemiro header was chalked off.
Palace then almost scored from their next attack after an error by Kobbie Maino saw Olise through on goal but his attempt to go past Onana was well read by the goal keeper and United survived.

Not for long though as Palace scored the second goal after a scrappy ball saw Mateta one on one with Evans and the Palace forward went pass the United defender easily and with Olise waiting for a cut back, Mateta opted for a left footed shot and found the top right corner of Onana’s goal to give Palace a 2-0 lead heading into the break.

A huge second 45 minutes awaits Manchester United who could see Chelsea leapfrog them in the league standing after the blues 5-0 hammering of Westham on Sunday with hammers boss David Moyes admit to them missing the protection of one of the very best midfielder in Declan Rice, having lost the English man to London rival Arsenal.
