EPL run-in: How Aston Villa vs Liverpool could be the decider for Premier League winner

Aston Villa play host to Liverpool in a monday night clash at the Villa Park stadium in what could be huge in deciding who becomes winner of the Premier League this season. Aston Villa on 67 points and are closely followed by Tottenham on 63 points having at this moment played 36 games each. A win for Villa tonight put them in all clear for the Champions League last slot but a slip up would give Spurs a lift and extra motivation to go into Tuesday’s match with Manchester City with extra incentive to win amd not just do their North London rival Arsenal a favour.

Spurs play host to City on tuesday night with a win or a draw be a huge news for the gunners who would be hoping for a favour from their neighbours in boosting their chance of lifting the EPL trophy. A draw for City win see them level on point with Arsenal but behind in second because of the gunners slight superior goal difference while defeat for Pep Guardiola men will have the gunners a point ahead of City going into the penultimate game of the season with Arsenal playing at home to Everton while City host Westham with both game kicking off same time. Liverpool, now out of the race could still yet decide the winner of the league by hoping to get all three points to help finish the season on the high in what would be manager Jorgen Klopp last season in charge. Villa have goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez available and would count on his performance in the big games to help them overcome the reds as he did at the Emirate against the gunners with the save against Leandro Trossard just before half time setting the tone for Villa impressive 2-0 win over Arsenal. Liverpool on their own will hope to have Mohammed Salah firing and hope Darwin Nunez find the net as against him too often hitting the post in recent matches.

The monday night clash could be just a normal game for rest of the league and neutral fans but for Arsenal amd their fans its going to have a massive impact on their season and could impact the Spurs vs City game on Tuesday. Kick off at Villa stadium is 20:00.
