President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been probing the appointees of the erstwhile president of the country, President Muhammad Buhari. While he has sacked some of them, some of them are under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for mismanagement of funds and office.
Below are the appointees:
GODWIN EMEFIELE
Godwin Emefiele who was appointed by ex-president Buhari, was the immediate past governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). He was however suspended by President Tinubu immediately after he resumed office. Shortly after his suspension, he was arrested by the EFCC and was recently granted a bail of 300 million naira by a federal high court sitting in Abuja.
SADIYA UMAR-FAROUK
Sadiya Umar-Farouk Was the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development between 2019 and 2023. FRIENDS AND FOLKS reported that she has been indicted in an ongoing investigation of N37,170,855,753.44 fraud. When she was serving as a minister.
